The American showrooms this May will welcome the 2018 Volkswagen seven-seat SUV and considering the wait is almost over, the automaker decided to tease us by announcing its official price. The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas SUV comes in five trim levels in U.S. spec starting from $30,500 for the base model and going up to $48,490 for the range-topping version.
The Chattanooga-built 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is built on the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) architecture which makes it fairly light and agile, not to mention efficient, and it comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, a four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injection 2.0-liter TSI engine, which produces 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and the option of a 3.6-liter VR6 engine with 276-horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. The latter can be ordered with 4Motion all-wheel-drive.
